As part of its continuing efforts to improve data security, physical security and maintain service continuity, NELS has implemented a number of infrastructure improvements.

The NELS infrastructure improvements include, improved physical security, redundant ISP (Internet) providers with auto-failover capability, parallel processing of mission critical functions at two physically separated facilities and a dedicated power feed direct to NELS from the grid.  NELS has also renewed servers and added UPS capability as part of its annual hardware upgrade program.
